Job summary

Fortrea is seeking a Lab Technician for its Madison, Wisconsin site to support Phase I unit operations and direct interaction with healthy volunteers in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role emphasizes standard lab processing, quality control, and seamless workflow within the processing lab.

Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent lab experience, plus at least 1 year in a lab setting.

Qualifications

Associate degree preferred, but will consider relevant lab experience.
Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements
1 year of laboratory experience. Additional laboratory experience may be substituted for education requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform routine laboratory sample processing for phase I unit.
Follows the laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.
Operates laboratory equipment.
Recognizes deviations from expected results and follows up appropriately.
Participates in the collection of biological specimens. Evaluates and solves problems related to the collection and processing of specimens.
Facilitates the workflow through the laboratory to ensure completion of processing in a timely manner.
Maintains and cleans laboratory equipment.
Inventories reagents and supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Undertake any other duties as required
