Job summary

Recovery Point of West Virginia in Charleston seeks a program coordinator to support residents in the Off the Streets (OTS) program and Phase I, maintain a safe environment, and help resolve conflicts while aligning with the organization’s model.

You will schedule doctor visits, supervise meetings and classes, assist with Life Skills and Recovery Dynamics, coordinate with Routes to Recovery, enter weekly progress in FYIDB, and help GED participation, with a flexible schedule including evenings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year work experience in addictions or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Schedule doctor appointments with the facilities primary care provider.
• Oversee OTS, OTS 2, and Phase residents; maintain safe environment.
• Assist Phase II coordinator with weekly training for peer mentors.
• Oversee scheduling with Routes to Recovery and report to Director.
• Input case notes and weekly progress on residents in FYIDB.
• Maintain GED participation and participate in classes as needed.

Summary/objective: Provide resources and support to all residents in Off the Streets (OTS) program and Phase I. This position will help to maintain an environment consistent with our model, resolve potential conflicts, and ensure a safe environment.Essential functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Responsible for scheduling doctor appointments with the facilities primary care provider.Oversee OTS, OTS 2, and Phase residentsAssist Phase II coordinator with weekly training procedure for all peer mentors, assuring they are properly trained and prepared to facilitate recovery dynamics classes and have a working knowledge of the peer mentor’s office.Oversee scheduling with Routes to Recovery and report to Routes to Recovery Director.Monitor client meetings; facilitate group meetings, complete accurate client chartsTeach / assist with Life Skills and Recovery Dynamics classesFacilitate Phase I community and Phase II community when neededMaintain good community and agency relationsInput case notes and weekly progress on residents in FYIDB softwareResponsible for all resident medications and make sure they are logged in FYIDB software when administeredOversee G.E.D. and make sure clients seeking GED participate in the class.Adhere to WV Alliance of Recovery Residences (WVARR) standards.All other duties as assignedEducation/Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. is required with one year work experience in addictions or related field. Should have a minimum of two years of continuous sobriety, if in recovery, and should be an in-compliance alumnus of Recovery Point or Healing Place. Valid drivers license and vehicle required. Must have or be working toward PR credential.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Must be knowledgeable of the Recovery Point recovery model and follow established policies, possess basic computer skills, and have effective communication skills. The ability to speak in public is a plus. Must have the ability to communicate with others in a warm and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport. Must be able to adapt to change, delays, unexpected events, and possess conflict resolution skills. Must have the ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekendsWork Environment: Work is primarily performed in an office setting in a moderately quiet work environment.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk and hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, and stretch. The employee is occasionally required to move around the office.
