Job summary

Alcanza Clinical Research is a national network conducting Phase 1 studies across multiple therapeutic areas. The Research Assistant - Phase 1 supports CRCs, Site Manager, investigators, and staff to ensure compliant site operations, data capture, and patient care.

The role involves patient screening and follow-up, data entry in EDC, vital signs and ECGs, specimen handling, scheduling visits, and maintaining logs while upholding HIPAA and GCP standards.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant diploma or CMA, LPN, LVN, or EMT credential and 1+ year clinical experience.
• Proficiency in basic clinical procedures (BP, vitals, EKG, phlebotomy) and BLS/ACLS.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic screening of patients for study enrollment.
• Assist with patient follow-up visits and documentation in source charts.
• Enter data in EDC and respond to queries; obtain vital signs and ECGs.
• Perform basic procedures per protocol and manage specimens, storage, and shipping.
• Request and track medical record requests; assist with logs, filing, and scheduling visits.
