Job summary

Atrium Health Lincoln Pharmacy is seeking a Youth Apprentice Pharmacy Technician for a part-time role in Lincoln, NC. The position supports dispensing, medication delivery, and patient information processing while developing competency with the department’s information systems and automation.

Hours are 4 per week with rotating days/evenings/weekends/holidays; must be enrolled as a junior or senior in a program that awards a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a Junior or a Senior in a program that awards a high school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• Develop competency in dispensing and delivery of medications and in the department’s information systems and automation.

Responsibilities

• Learns and demonstrates ability to communicate and collaborate with teammates.
• Learns dispensing and delivery of medications and uses department information systems and automation.
• Learns prescription processing, including patient information, data entry, insurance verification and label generation.
• Follows policies to comply with legal, regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Learns non-sterile and sterile compounding preparation per USP guidelines.
• Follows department safety practices and uses PPE as required.
• Complies with Youth Apprentice program requirements.
