Job summary

MaineMedical Center is seeking Pharmacy Technicians as part of MaineHealth to support pharmacists and the care team in storing, distributing, preparing, and handling medications. Roles begin in a structured training capacity with mentorship, enabling technicians to perform competencies they're qualified for within their knowledge base.

Eligible candidates can receive a sign-on bonus up to $3,000. Prospective hires should have a high school diploma, and must be licensed or eligible for licensure

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience: None required
• Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Proficient computer skills

Responsibilities

• The Pharmacy Technician role will function in a training capacity, working alongside a trainer/mentor while completing their job responsibilities in their respective pharmacy practice area.
• The role will assist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and the care team in the storage, distribution, preparation, and handling of medications within MaineHealth.
• The Pharmacy Technician will only perform competencies that they have completed in their knowledge-based courses and on the job training and are qualified to perform alongside a technician trainer/mentor or pharmacist.
