Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is offering a Pharmacy Technician Trainee program at Weill Cornell Medical Center for 14 weeks of paid learning. Trainees will be supervised by a licensed pharmacist and gain hands-on experience to pursue a career as a Pharmacy Technician.

The program runs full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm, at the Weill Cornell Medical Center campus in Manhattan. It is open to candidates not yet certified by PTCB or NHA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to perform math calculations.
• Must be eligible for Pharmacy Technician Trainee program.

Responsibilities

• Trainees will be supervised by a licensed pharmacist and have limited responsibilities in the area of practice designated by the Manager.
• Trainees will work full time and be enrolled in a TRC Pharmacy Technician University program to enhance learning for a career pathway as a Pharmacy Technician.
• As part of this on-site program and enrollment, Trainees complete 424+ hours of curriculum and instruction through online didactic teaching, simulations, and experiential learning.

Pharmacy Technician Trainee-

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking Pharmacy Technician Trainees to join our team for a 14 week paid learning opportunity. A goal of this program is to develop Trainees interested in growing their careers in pharmacy as a licensed Pharmacy Technician.

During this program Trainees will be supervised by a licensed pharmacist and have limited responsibilities in the area of practice designated by the Manager. Responsibilities will be applicable to assigned area of practice.

Trainees will work full time and be enrolled in a TRC Pharmacy Technician University program to enhance learning for a career pathway as a Pharmacy Technician. As part of this on-site program and enrollment, Trainees complete 424+ hours of curriculum and instruction through online didactic teaching, simulations, and experiential learning. Additionally, NYP’s Pharmacy department covers the cost of this program while Trainees are employed with us.

Location: Weill Cornell Medical Center, upper east side, Manhattan

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
