Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is seeking a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to join the Specialty and Retail Pharmacy team at the Queens Campus in Flushing, NY. You will assist licensed pharmacists in preparing medications and delivering personalized care to patients with complex conditions, while upholding patient safety and high standards.

The role requires NYS registration, completion of a formal training program, and experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Formal Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent on-the-job training.
• NYS Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician in hospital or retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing medications and providing high-quality care.
• Support training of students, interns and new technicians.
• Advocate for patient safety and adhere to stringent standards.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience utilizing pharmacy inventory automation systems
• 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital environment
