Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and dispensing of medications per policies and procedures.
• Select medications for automated dispensing cabinet replenishment accurately.
• Sterile product preparation using proper technique and clean area.
• Fill floor stock remote orders (OR, ER, etc.) accurately.
• Maintain storerooms and replenish active stock as needed.
• Restock automated cabinets in patient care areas accurately.
• Manage emergency medication inventories and restock as needed.
• Maintain medication rooms and remove expired medications.
• Empty return bins in automated cabinets weekly.
• Use unit-dose machine to package bulk meds and compound non-sterile meds.
• Perform cycle counts and document results.
• Keep pharmacy neat; clean after compounding, manufacturing, etc.
• Conduct refrigerator temperature inspections in dispensing machine.
• Inspect storage areas monthly with records.
• Greet and assist customers; participate in POS transactions.
• Provide patient calls and triage as appropriate.
• Complete all work and quality paperwork by shift end.
• Communicate with nursing, physicians, and ancillary services; maintain positive relations.
• Foster collaborative team relationships to achieve goals.
