You will be part of a collaborative team dedicated to safe, accurate, and efficient patient care, building strong relationships with patients while supporting the pharmacist and pharmacy operations. This entry-level role requires 0 to 6 months experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, with eligibility to obtain registration as a pharmacy technician.

Qualifications

• 0 to 6 months experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Eligible to obtain registration as pharmacy technician with the applicable state board of pharmacy

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and acknowledge them with compassion and a smile at all pharmacy entry points.
• Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging and meeting patient needs, including processing orders in person and by phone, directing patients to products and merchandise and referring questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment to meet company and government requirements.
• Assist team members with tasks to ensure department runs efficiently.
• Use the pharmacy computer to complete actions to maximize efficiency and provide optimal patient care at drop-off, will call, drive thru, phone, filling and order receiving.
• Assist in execution of company initiatives and programs.
• Complete required training and exams.
• Follow all company, state and federal policies including HIPAA and Pseudoephedrine sales.
• Finalize sales at point of sale per established procedures.
• Transcribe data from prescriptions accurately to generate a label for the customer.
• Assist with maintaining inventory by ordering, receiving, stocking and rotating drugs and supplies per policy.
• Answer telephone politely and ensure accurate information is exchanged.
• Resolve customer questions by communicating with customer and management efficiently.
• File written prescriptions daily.
• May be required to perform medication cycle exchange on-site at facilities we service.
• May be required to perform medication cart audits on-site at facilities we service.
