Qualifications

• Must obtain Pharmacy Technician I licensure in RI before training and sit for CPhT after program completion.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Brown University Health Pharmacy Technician Training Program with didactic, simulation, and hands-on coursework.
• Under supervision, assists pharmacists with medication preparation and delivery.
• Aids in inventory control, packaging, labeling, and distribution of pharmaceuticals.
• Maintains proper storage conditions and performs routine equipment upkeep and record-keeping.
• Adheres to USP compounding guidelines and safety policies; provides customer service in interactions with staff and patients.
