Lehigh Valley Health Network is offering a transitional Pharmacy Technician Trainee position designed for individuals pursuing state registration. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in medication preparation, inventory management, and related duties while completing a Board-approved training program.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• RPTT designation required upon hire; may pursue full RPT within 2 years.
• Pharmacy technician registration with PA state is required upon hire or within the stated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of the healthcare system.
• Assists in the preparation and distribution of medications under the direct oversight of a pharmacist.
• Performs data entry and prescription processing in accordance with state privacy and safety standards.
• Maintains pharmacy inventory and assists with operating automation and/or restock and manage automated dispensing cabinets and floorstock.
• Assists with restocking, maintaining, and monitoring automated dispensing cabinets, as applicable.
• Assists with medication deliveries to patient care areas.
• Supports medication recalls, expired medication removal, and diversion prevention activities.
• Adheres to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations.
