Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong math skills for counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
• Basic computer skills required.
• CPhT certification upon hire.
• RPT certification upon hire with PA state.
• Experience with pharmacy automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription orders.
• Adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Fill medication orders accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure medications are labeled and checked by a pharmacist before dispensing.
• Prioritize workload and coordinate with team members.
• Monitor expiration dates and manage inventory to prevent expired stock.
• Maintain proper record-keeping for controlled substances and inventory.
• Communicate drug information requests to a pharmacist.
• Operate and maintain pharmacy equipment competently.
• Answer phones and assist customers promptly.
• Assist with orientation and training of new staff.
• Maintain adequate inventory of prescription and OTC products.
