You will work under licensed pharmacists, participate in a structured training plan, and devote 32 hours weekly to hands-on experience and 8 hours to PTU coursework, fostering professional growth within a leading academic medical center.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• No prior pharmacy experience is required.
• Must register with the Virginia Board of Pharmacy within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with preparation, dispensing, and management of medications.
• Learn pharmacy workflows, medication distribution processes, and operations.
• Support inventory management and medication stocking activities.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Participate in department orientation, training activities, and practical skill development.
• Complete online educational modules focused on pharmacy fundamentals.
• Engage in simulations, role‑playing, knowledge assessments, and competency validations.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
