As a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you’ll be a key part of our collaborative team. You’ll bring your skills and expertise to building a service conscious Pharmacy team that develops great relationships with patients. You’ll help us exceed expectations, meet needs, and provide safe, accurate, and efficient care to achieve the best patient, team member, and company outcomes.

Job Description

• Experience Required: 0 to 6 months
• Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or Licensing Preferred: Pharmacy Certification
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 25 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and acknowledge them with compassion at all pharmacy entry points.
• Model excellent patient care by respecting, engaging, and meeting or exceeding patient needs, including processing orders, directing patients to products, and referring questions to the pharmacist.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to meet company and government standards.
• Assist team members to ensure efficient department operations.
• Use the pharmacy computer system to complete tasks such as searching for patient profiles, managing prescriptions, and entering invoices.
• Contribute to improving outcomes by supporting service and business metrics.
• Participate in company initiatives and training programs.
• Follow all policies, laws, and regulations, including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine sales laws.
• Process sales accurately using the cash register according to procedures.
• Transcribe prescription data accurately for label generation.
• Help maintain inventory levels through ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
• Answer phone calls politely and provide accurate information to customers.
• Resolve customer questions and concerns effectively.
• File prescriptions daily.
