Job summary

Job Description

• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational skills.
• Ensures the completeness and thoroughness of monthly floor inspections; emptying return bins; returning medications to Talyst; prepacking; and stocking of all trays.
• Participates in the interview process perspective employees.
• Works in collaboration with the Purchasing Specialist to ensure recalled medications are removed from inventory.
• Functions on an as-needed basis to find fill- in for other technicians in sicknesses, vacations or other types of absences as requested.

Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP), Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (Except). Failure to maintain certification will result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required

Advanced certification

SC Board of Pharmacy State Certification or other area-specific advanced certification from an approved provider (e.g. ASHP, PTCB).
