Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience supervising pharmacy and/or delivery operations preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in the health care industry required.
  • Possess Current KY Pharmacy Tech Registration.
  • Previous personnel/team management experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Pharmacy Operations Manager to monitor daily activities of the pharmacy technicians.
  • Supervise delivery staff and outside couriers as needed.
  • Assist with product purchasing, inventory, and equipment management.
  • Communicate with internal account contacts for consultative services.
  • Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures.

Job description

Team members receive nine paid holidays plus two floating holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Pharmacy Operations Manager to monitor daily activities of the pharmacy technicians so that they reflect a priority on the delivery of pharmaceutical products.
  • Supervise delivery staff and outside couriers as needed.
  • Maintain the pharmacy work area and the receiving/shipping area in a professional and safe manner.
  • Assist with product purchasing, inventory, and equipment management.
  • Observe legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary PharmaCord information.
  • Adhere to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices.
  • Comply with state and federal laws, including OSHA, HIPAA, etc.
  • Assist external and internal callers by actively listening to each caller, assessing the situational needs, and responding with patience and courtesy.
  • Identify missing or incorrect information within program service requests/program applications.
  • Provide timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
  • Communicate with internal account contacts and provide consultative services to overcome obstacles and ensure timely shipments.
  • Assist with team hiring, development, and training.
  • Ensure daily program staffing levels are consistent with daily program needs.
  • Assist with team training to ensure proficiency in their roles.
  • Provide consistent, timely coaching and development for direct reports in a functional area.
  • Utilize Valeris’ values as the driving force behind the team’s success.
  • Ensure on-time adherence to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all SOPs are followed with consistency.
  • Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned.

  • Retail, hospital, or high-volume/mail-order pharmacy experience preferred.
  • National Pharmacy Tech Certification or ability to obtain Certification within 90 days of hire.

  • Flexibility to travel as needed (minimal).
Physician Demands & Work Environment
  • Required to talk or hear regularly; sit for long periods; use hands to type, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Preferred typing speed: at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed. Minimal.
  • Professional office environment using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
