Key Responsibilities:
- Entering prescriptions and verifying appropriate information
- Contacting patients, pharmacists and doctor offices to resolve claims issues
- Processing prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
- Resolving customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided
- Navigate computer system to review and confirm prescriptions orders and information ensuring that automated fulfillment is correct
- Manually dispenses orals, liquid medications and medical supplies according to standard procedures and protocols
- Maintain dispensing units ensuring they are filled with correct products, returns products that are no longer valid due to recalls, supply issues, etc.
- Maintain proper inventory and storage of drugs by filling dispensing units and monitoring and adjusting pharmacy equipment
- Process, pack or ship pharmacy orders including counting and dispensing medications, labeling and packing appropriately for shipment within required time frames
- Bring in packages from the receiving dock area
- Assist with inventory management/replenishment as directed by the Pharmacist(s)
- Replenish shipping supplies for the production area
- Adhere to Valeris’ values as the driving force behind the team’s success
- Adhere to training deadlines for all corporate policies and procedures
- Ensure all SOPs are followed consistently
- Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned
Qualifications:

- Ability to successfully complete Pharmacy Operations training classes and demonstrate proficiency
- Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications

- Possess current KY pharmacy tech license or ability to obtain license within the first week of start date
- Retail or Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred
- High School Diploma Required
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Typing at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy is preferred.
- Flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
