Job summary
Marathon Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to partner with a pharmacist to process and safely dispense prescription drugs, manage inventory, and handle insurance and chain-of-custody paperwork.
The role requires a High School Diploma, active Certified Pharmacy Technician certification, and at least two years of experience. You will ensure accuracy, maintain drug security, and support patients in obtaining timely medications.
Qualifications
- Requires High School Diploma and active Certified Pharmacy Technician credential.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Experience with online prescription systems and knowledge of medication dosages.
- Familiar with pharmacy law and medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Assist with medication inventory and chain of custody.
- Process prescriptions and ensure pharmacist reviews for accuracy.
- Handle insurance paperwork and resolve claims issues.
- Greet patients and answer questions, escalating as needed.
- Maintain security and cleanliness of the pharmacy.
- Record-keeping and administrative tasks as required.
