Job Summary

• Assist the Director of Pharmacy Services by developing, organizing, and implementing programs, policies, and procedures necessary to manage and control all pharmacy technician services, ensuring quality distributive pharmacy services at both hospitals.
• Coordinate the annual drug inventories at both hospitals.
• Maintain the inventory control system of department supplies and pharmaceutical purchases.
• Perform all staff duties when working in the schedule and may serve as a technician up to 80% of the time.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 3 years experience as a hospital pharmacy technician with previous drug inventory control/purchasing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, drug nomenclature, and basic mathematics.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Licensed to practice within the State of California.
• Excellent computer, written, and verbal skills.
• Ability to work well and efficiently with other staff members.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Base Pay Scale

Generally starting at $42.24 – $54.60 per hour. The salary will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
