Job summary

Montefiore is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in packaging, manufacturing and distribution of drugs and supplies under supervision. The role includes inventory control, sterile product work, and ambulatory services, with a 1:00 pm–9:30 pm schedule and alternating weekends.

Candidates must have a NYS Pharmacy Technician license, PTCB certification, completion of a technician training program, and strong communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and inventory control practices and procedures.
• Excellent communications, customer service and business interpersonal skills.
• PC, Windows and other business or pharmacy computer system literacy.

Responsibilities

• Performs non-judgmental functions in ambulatory and inpatient drug distribution, sterile product preparation, manufacturing and packaging, and ambulatory services.
• Responsible for procurement of inventory and inventory control.
• Performs other related duties and utilizes automated and computerized technology as required.
