Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center seeks a Pharmacy Technician to assist in packaging, manufacturing, and distribution of drugs and supplies across ambulatory and inpatient settings. You will help with sterile product preparation and inventory control, under pharmacist supervision.

Responsibilities include procurement of inventory and use of automated systems; candidates must have a NYS license, PTCB certification, and completion of a technician program. Shift: Evening, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program or equivalent on the job training.
• Valid NYS Pharmacy Technician license is required.
• Valid PTCB certification is required.
• Must pass a Pharmacy Technician test.
• Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and inventory control practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in packaging, manufacturing, and distribution of drugs and supplies.
• Support ambulatory and inpatient drug distribution and sterile product preparation.
• Procure inventory and manage inventory control.
• Operate and utilize automated systems as required.
