Job summary

The Tohono O'odham Nation is seeking a Pharmacy Tech to support the Pharmacy Department across Sells Hospital and health centers. Responsibilities include stocking medications, ordering drugs, and stocking shelves in coordination with the Clinical Pharmacist.

Qualified candidates will have a High School diploma or GED and a Pharmacy Technician certificate, with knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements, to ensure safe and accurate dispensing and patient service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and patient services.
• Knowledge of drug nomenclature and dosage.
• Familiarity with state and federal pharmacy laws.

Responsibilities

• Order drugs from the supply department and manage stock.
• Maintain an adequate shelf stock of drugs in dispensing area.
• Prepare sterile IV admixtures and chemotherapeutic agents as assigned.
• Print labels for prepackaging and assist with unit-dose distribution.
• Routinely call patients to outpatient pharmacy consultation rooms.
• Ensure storage areas are neat, clean, and compliant with storage plans.
• Assist in clerical duties as needed by pharmacy staff.
