CAPS, part of the B. Braun Group, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist in sterile IV medication preparation in a 503A compounding pharmacy under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. 4x10 shifts from 7:30am to 6pm, Monday through Sunday with alternating weekends.

Licensed Washington Pharmacy Technician required; CPCT/NHAExCPT preferred. Pay is $30.90/hr plus benefits; high school diploma or equivalent required; cGMP and aseptic processing training offered.

Qualifications

  • Requires Washington State Pharmacy Technician License.
  • Preferred: National Pharmacy Certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
  • cGMP training/experience desired; training provided.
  • Aseptic processing training/experience desired; training provided.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
  • Assist in setup of compounding room, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
  • Participate in cleanroom product introduction activities.
  • Prepare records and monitor results for QA testing.

Position Summary:

Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation of sterile IV medications in a 503A compounding pharmacy under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Adheres to all CAPS policies and procedures
  • Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
  • Assists in the setup of the compounding room, equipment, and supplies for preparation of compounded sterile solutions, using aseptic technique.
  • Performs general cleaning and maintenance duties as directed.
  • Participates in cleanroom product introduction activities.
  • Prepares records and monitors results for pharmaceutical quality assurance testing.

Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc
Required:
  • REQUIRED: Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Washington Board of Pharmacy
  • Preferred: National Pharmacy Certification through PTCB or NHA ExCPT
  • High school diploma/G.E.D or equivalent required.
  • cGMP training/experience desired, training will be provided
  • Aseptic processing training/experience desired, training will be provided.
  • Schedule: (4x10) 10 hour shifts from 7:30am - 6pm. Work 4 days per week between Monday - Sunday w/ alternating weekends. Holidays/Overtime as needed
  • Pay is $30.90/hr + benefits

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
