Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the drug distribution activities of the Department of Pharmacy Services. Under supervision, you will assist a licensed pharmacist, collect and verify patient data, and help with labels and routine orders.

Job Description

Assists a registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions. Collects, inputs, and verifies prescription, refill, and patient information. Receives and stocks incoming supplies. May prepare labels and routine prepacked orders. May be expected to perform some clerical duties relating to the department.

Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (SCBOP). This technician must complete the PTCB board certification exam and pass within 6 months of hire.
