The Cigna Group is seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support our specialized team. You will compound nonsterile and sterile preparations, maintain the compounding suite, and ensure daily documentation adheres to regulatory standards.
Role is on-site with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM. A MA license is required, PTCB certification preferred (must be obtained within one year). Strong math, detail orientation, and communication skills are essential.
As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will be an integral part of our specialized compounding team, helping maintain the highest standards of patient care. This role requires strong attention to detail, as most of your time will be spent in the compounding suite. Responsibilities include compounding nonsterile and sterile preparations, maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the compounding suite, and completing daily documentation in accordance with State, Federal, and USP regulations.
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM. Typically no weekends or holidays.
High school diploma or GED required. Massachusetts State Pharmacy Technician license required. National PTCB certification preferred; required within one year of obtaining the position. Strong math skills related to prescription calculations. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and quality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to perform highly physical daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning activities while wearing a respirator, eye protection, and full sterile attire. Activities may include lifting 20–30 lbs., bending, stretching, reaching above and below the head and waist, kneeling, and climbing step ladders. Adherence to strict personal hygiene requirements, including no jewelry, makeup, hair extensions, false eyelashes, or long and/or false fingernails while working.
This position is fully on‑site and does not permit remote work. Any references to home‑based internet requirements do not apply to this role. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 20 - 30 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
