Responsibilities

• Prepare medications and supplies for dispensing including: pre-packing bulk medications, compounding ointments, creams, oral solutions, and other medications; total parenteral nutrition solutions; IV admixtures; preparing prescriptions for outpatients; checking and unit dosing medications.
• Control and audit narcotics / stock substances.
• Prepare inventories, order drugs and supplies, receive drugs and stock shelves.
• Perform monthly inspections, maintain workload records, and collect quality-assurance data.
• Transport medications and pharmacy equipment to hospitals daily.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
• Prepare sterile preparations with adherence to policies.
• Assist other pharmacy staff as needed.
• All other duties as assigned
