Job Overview

The Pharmacy Technician I assists pharmacists in preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications. They are accountable to the supervising pharmacist, who is responsible for patient care and safety. The technician follows all applicable standards and laws for safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Actively registered, in good standing, with the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician, or willing to apply by the first day of work (including fingerprinting for FBI background check)
• 1-year relevant pharmacy experience preferred but not required
• Complete pharmacy department orientation successfully
• Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of pharmacy equipment and automation technology
  • Proficient in operating pharmacy automation systems and workflow management
  • Initial troubleshooting skills for pharmacy technology software
  • Ability to work under time constraints
