Job summary

Evara Health in Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing, dispensing, and patient interactions at our sites. This role operates under pharmacist supervision to ensure safe, accurate service in a high-volume clinical setting.

You will help maintain patient profiles, collaborate with prescribers and insurers, manage stock, and uphold regulatory standards while contributing to a collaborative, compliant, and efficient workflow across our centers.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
  • Completion of a Florida approved pharmacy technician program.
  • PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with reading, interpreting, and processing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
  • Maintain accurate patient profiles and communicate with prescribers and insurance to resolve claims.
  • Maintain medication and supply inventory and support lookalike/sound-alike safety.
  • Ensure regulatory documentation and refrigerator temperature logs are kept accurately.
  • Support technician training and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

About This Role:
  • Prescription Processing & Dispensing: Assists with reading, interpreting, and processing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, including counting, pouring, reconstituting medications, selecting containers, and labeling. Verifies correct prescriptions at pickup and accepts payment.
  • Patient & Provider Communication: Maintains accurate patient profiles and communicates with prescribers for refills and insurance carriers to resolve claims. Triages phone calls and assists patients at drop-off and pick-up.
  • Inventory & Workflow Management: Maintains medication and supply inventory, orders non-CII items, removes expired or unclaimed medications, and supports inventory preparation. Upholds safety and labeling standards, especially for lookalike/sound-alike drugs.
  • Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensures regulatory compliance through accurate documentation, proper record archiving, daily/monthly reporting, and refrigerator temperature logs. Follows corporate compliance and loss prevention policies.
  • Professionalism & Training: Maintains active Pharmacy Technician License, supports technician student training, stays informed on industry updates, and contributes to a clean and organized work environment.

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB), preferred
  • Completion of a Florida approved pharmacy technician program
Licenses, Certification or Registration
  • State of Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration, required
