Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Indiana in Mishawaka, Indiana seeks a PRN Pharmacy Technician to join our patient care team. This per diem role supports the pharmacist with medication preparation, verification, and dispensing in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, state registration as a Pharmacy Technician (preferred), and hospital experience; PTCB certification is also preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent unless registered by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Current state certification and registration with the Board of Pharmacy preferred.

• National certification (PTCB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs.
• Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.
• Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer.
• Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.
