Mesquite Rehabilitation Institute in Mesquite, Texas is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our inpatient rehabilitation hospital team. You will assist the pharmacist with medication handling, price-checking, and restocking while ensuring accurate prescription information is entered and retrieved from our computer systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent unless registered by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Current state certification and registration with the Board of Pharmacy preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• National certification (PTCB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs.
• Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.
• Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer.
• Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.
• Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
