Job summary

Corpus Christi Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Ernest Health, seeks a PRN Pharmacy Technician to join our Corpus Christi, TX team. The role supports pharmacists, retrieves, counts, and measures drugs, and handles prescription information in the computer system.

This per diem position requires state certification preferred, hospital experience preferred, and strong data entry, communication, and confidentiality skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required unless registered by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Current state certification and registration with the Board of Pharmacy preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.
• National certification (PTCB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves, counts, and measures drugs.
• Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs.
• Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer.
• Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent unless registered by the State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
• Current state certification and registration with the Board of Pharmacy preferred
• Hospital experience preferred
• National certification (PTCB) preferred
