Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - PRN to assist pharmacists with prescription preparation, data entry, and patient transactions in Amarillo.

The role requires a high school diploma and Texas state pharmacy registration, with preferred experience in retail pharmacy and customer service. This is a part-time, on-site position with supportive benefits and a focus on accurate, friendly patient care.

Qualifications

  • Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. License/Certification: Must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year working in a retail pharmacy.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
