Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Pharmacy Technician II to assist the pharmacist with filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders, and to perform various technical duties in handling and packaging pharmaceuticals.

This role supports patient care across neonatal to geriatric populations, with opportunities to work in multiple function areas and demonstrate proficiency in production, distribution, inventory, narcotics, and other pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration.
• At least 1 year of Pharmacy Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pharmacist in filling, compounding, and dispensing physician orders.
• Performs various technical duties involved with handling, packaging, and delivery of pharmaceuticals.
• Demonstrates proficiency to practice in two or more pharmacy function areas (production/distribution, oncology, inventory management, narcotics, nursery, surgery, compounding, home care/outpatient). Provides patient care services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
