Job summary

NTT DATA Services currently seeks Pharmacy Technicians (Prior Authorizations-Call Center) to join our team remotely.

The Tech I Prior Auth handles inbound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc., providing professional and courteous phone assistance through the prior authorization process. Documentation is maintained; clinical questions are escalated to the pharmacist team.

Qualifications

• High-Volume Healthcare Call Center Experience.
• Minimum 1 year of inbound call center experience.
• Healthcare, insurance, PBM, pharmacy, medical office, or similar environment preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take in-bound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc. providing professional and courteous phone assistance through the prior authorization process.
• Maintain complete, timely and accurate documentation of reviews.
• Transfer all clinical questions, escalations and judgement calls to the pharmacist team.
• Assist with outbound calls, reviewing and processing Prior Auths via fax and ePA, monitoring and responding to inquiries via department mailboxes and other duties as assigned by leadership.
• Hours are Mon-Fri 11a-11p CST; Training M-F for approx. 5 weeks, 8AM-4:30PM CST

Role Responsibilities

The Tech I Prior Auth takes in-bound calls from providers, pharmacies, members, etc. providing professional and courteous phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Maintains complete, timely and accurate documentation of reviews. Transfers all clinical questions, escalations and judgement calls to the pharmacist team.

The Tech I will also assist with other duties as needed to include but not limited to: outbound calls, reviewing and processing Prior Auth's received via fax and ePA, monitoring and responding to inquiries via department mailboxes and other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Hours are Mon-Fri 11a-11p (8.5 hr shift with 30 min lunch) CST; Training M-F for approx. 5 weeks, 8AM-4:30PM CST

Required Skills/Experience

Pharmacy Technician Experience / Knowledge

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($20.00). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
