Job summary

Sam's Club in Latham, NY is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription fulfillment, process third-party insurance claims, assist patients with orders, and help maintain pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will enter prescription data, dispense under pharmacist supervision, and handle HIPAA paperwork while providing friendly member service and ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
• Meets all state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Experience with prescription fulfillment, third-party insurance claims, and pharmacy paperwork preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions by reading, transcribing, and entering data into pharmacy software.
• Assist pharmacists in fulfillment of prescriptions and patient counseling.
• Handle third-party insurance claims and rejections.
• Maintain pharmacy area, inventory, and merchandising per policy.
• Provide member service at prescription drop-off and pickup windows.
• Ensure accuracy with dispensing, labeling, and scans.
