Job summary

Sam's Club in South Point, OH is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support the prescription fulfillment process and patient services in the pharmacy area. You will handle prescription data entry, process third-party claims, assist with medication dispensing, and help maintain a safe, compliant, and customer-focused pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities cover checkout duties, insurance interactions, HIPAA compliance, and collaboration with pharmacists to ensure accurate, timely medication

Qualifications

• Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCE or ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
• Experience with pharmacy software and third-party insurance processing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process member purchases and assist pharmacy operations with prescription fulfillment.
• Maintain pharmacy merchandise presentation and organized displays.
• Enter prescription data into pharmacy software and create patient records.
• Fill prescriptions and operate dispensing systems to ensure accuracy.
• Provide patient services at the pharmacy drop-off and pickup windows and resolve issues.
• Support pharmacists in processing third-party claims and managing insurance rejections.
