Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HI State Board of Pharmacy registration as Pharmacy Technician required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Pharmacy technician program or on-the-job training preferred.
• Billing experience in medical/pharmacy settings is preferred.
• Medical terminology course is preferred.
• Customer relations experience with coworkers, patients, and staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pharmacist(s) in processing and filling prescriptions and medical supply orders.
• Review and enter orders and patient information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Process and assist in maintaining pharmacy inventory.
• Perform sales transactions and provide information about medications and health insurance to customers.
• File third-party insurance claims on paper and electronically.
