Job summary
Fox Army Health Center in Redstone Arsenal, AL, seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support the MTF and its geographic area. The role is; Direct Hire Solicitation and based on-site at the Fox Army Health Center SSO Stand-Alone MTF.
Responsibilities include filling and labeling prescriptions, preparing medications for pharmacist verification, and distributing pharmaceuticals to patients. Experience with pharmacy systems and insurance verification is essential.
Qualifications
- Experience filling and labeling prescriptions in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to input, update and retrieve prescription data in pharmacy systems.
- Experience verifying insurance and patient data for dispensing.
- Knowledge of safety, storage and dispensing procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Fill and label prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Prepare medications for pharmacist verification and distribution to patients.
- Use pharmacy computer systems to input and track prescription information.
- Verify insurance and patient data; maintain accurate medication inventory records.
- Adhere to safety, storage, and dispensing procedures per regulations.
