Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate degree required as Pharmacy Technician.
• ASHP-accredited program or US Military medical services training program required.
• PTCB certification required for Pharmacy Technician.
• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician in the last 36 months.
• Must pass a Government background check/security clearance.
• Current AHA/ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications and enter orders into databases.
• Support new and refill prescriptions and patient/physician requests; monitor drug interactions.
• Complete quality improvement duties: inspect storage, review expired supplies, generate reports.
