Job summary

Partners Pharmacy in Springfield, New Jersey is hiring a Pharmacy Technician Prepack to support long-term care and retail pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma and PTCB registration, plus strong communication and multitasking skills.

The role involves processing prescriptions, packaging, and inventory replenishment in a fast-paced setting. Work hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm with every other weekend and holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; valid pharmacy registration and/or PTCB license preferred.
• Experience in long-term care or retail pharmacy environment is desirable.
• Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills are essential.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Typing skills, computer proficiency and multitasking ability are required.
• Knowledge of prescription plans and rejections helpful.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to workflow and ensure quality assurance standards are maintained at all times.
• Maintain prescription prioritization throughout prescription processing.
• Process and label all prescriptions.
• Translate SIG codes, select products, count and measure drugs, cap/uncap vials and bottles.
• Build E-kit, back-up boxes, unit dose packaging, bingo cards, etc.
• Fill cassettes, TCG cycle fills, etc.
• Access input and retrieve information from the computer.
• Maintain in-stock by following inventory management policies and procedures.
• Utilize reports to maintain replenishment.
• Pull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise and prepare for return.
• Assist with putting away drug orders as permitted by law.

Hours: Mon-Fri 8-4:30pm; every other weekend; 2 major and 1 minor holiday

The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• 1. Adhere to workflow and ensure quality assurance standards are maintained at all times
• 2. Maintain prescription prioritization throughout prescription processing
• 3. Process and label all prescriptions
• 4. Translate SIG codes, product selection, counting and measuring drugs, capping and uncapping vials and bottles
• 5. Building E-kit, back-up boxes, unit dose packaging, bingo cards, etc.
• 6. Fill cassettes, TCG cycle fills, etc.
• 7. Access, input and retrieve information to/from the computer
• 8. Maintain in-stock by ensuring all inventory management policies and procedures are followed
• 9. Utilize appropriate report(s) to maintain replenishment
• 10. Pull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise and prepare for return
• 11. Assist with putting away drug order (except Clls) as permitted by law

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Professional Experience:

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or PTCB license
• Experience in long term care or retail pharmacy environment
• Experience in Frameworks, a definite plus
• Communication, problem solving and organizational skills a must.
• Knowledge of prescription plans and rejections.
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment and meet deadlines.
• Typing, computer and multi-tasking skills are a must!
• Strong customer service skills
