Job summary

Partners Pharmacy in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Pharmacy Tech in Training for a hands-on role in long-term care settings. You will learn workflow, label and process prescriptions, count and package medications, and support inventory management.

The position emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A current technician registration or PTCB license is preferred, with growth opportunities in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or PTCB license.
• Experience in long term care or retail pharmacy environment.
• Experience in Frameworks is a definite plus.
• Strong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of prescription plans and rejections.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Typing, computer and multi-tasking skills are a must.
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to workflow and ensure quality assurance standards are maintained.
• Maintain prescription prioritization throughout processing.
• Process and label all prescriptions.
• Translate SIG codes, select products, count and measure drugs, cap/uncap vials and bottles.
• Build E-kit, back-up boxes, unit dose packaging, bingo cards.
• Fill cassettes, TCG cycle fills, etc.
• Access, input and retrieve information to/from the computer.
• Maintain stock by following inventory policies and procedures.
• Utilize reports to maintain replenishment.
• Pull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise for return.
• Assist with putting away drug orders as permitted by law.

The Pharmacy Technician

will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Adhere to workflow and ensure quality assurance standards are maintained at all times
• Maintain prescription prioritization throughout prescription processing
• Process and label all prescriptions
• Translate SIG codes, product selection, counting and measuring drugs, capping and uncapping vials and bottles
• Building E-kit, back-up boxes, unit dose packaging, bingo cards, etc.
• Fill cassettes, TCG cycle fills, etc.
• Access, input and retrieve information to/from the computer
• Maintain in-stock by ensuring all inventory management policies and procedures are followed
• Utilize appropriate report(s) to maintain replenishment
• Pull outdated, damaged and recalled merchandise and prepare for return
• Assist with putting away drug order (except Clls) as permitted by law

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Professional Experience:

• Current Pharmacy Technician registration and/or PTCB license
• Experience in long term care or retail pharmacy environment
• Experience in Frameworks, a definite plus
• Communication, problem solving and organizational skills a must.
• Knowledge of prescription plans and rejections.
