Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support a busy community pharmacy. You will assist the registered pharmacist with prescription processing, data entry, billing, and quality control checks, while keeping files organized and patients served with care.

You’ll maintain inventory, follow HIPAA/privacy standards, assist with medication counseling under supervision, and help uphold timely opening/closing procedures and a clean work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Michigan Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions with accuracy and speed (data entry, billing, QC checks).
• Maintain inventory with organized stocking and storage.
• Deliver friendly customer service and professional communication.
• Support pharmacist with counseling and patient education initiatives.
• Handle inquiries and service issues with a solution-focused approach.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy standards and compliance at all times.
