Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Assistant to support licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, maintaining patient profiles, and delivering exceptional customer service.

You will stock and manage inventory, process prescriptions, handle insurance claims, operate the cash register, and ensure HIPAA-compliant handling in a fast-paced retail environment. Prior pharmacy experience and state certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy-related experience and state certification/registration preferred.
• Strong reading, writing, comprehension, and basic math skills.
• Detail-oriented with suggestive selling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Stock and manage inventory of prescription and OTC medications.
• Notify management of supply needs and receive prescriptions/refills from patients.
• Count, label, package, and verify medications.
• Maintain customer profiles and process insurance claims.
• Operate cash register, handle transactions, and ensure accurate checkout.
• Keep the department clean, organized, and compliant with legal policies including HIPAA.
• Assist with tasks delegated by the pharmacist, excluding final prescription verification and patient counseling.
