Job summary

Ridley’s Family Markets Inc. in Idaho is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist, fill prescriptions, and provide patient counseling in compliance with federal and state laws and store policies.

You will handle transfers, respond to calls, support audits, maintain records for controlled substances, stock shelves, and help train other staff to ensure accurate dispensing and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
• Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications, and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand.
• Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
• Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs. (i.e., HIPAA, Methamphetamine, FWA, I-pledge, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions in compliance with laws and company policies, pour/measures, label containers.
• Answer telephone requests from customers, physicians, and vendors, and refer to pharmacist when needed.
• Communicate with peers and customers in a courteous, professional manner per guidelines.
• Assist with monthly audits of controlled substances (CIIs).
• Understand procedures for billing, filling, and dispensing products and maintain records as required.
• Stock inventory and assist with training of other pharmacy technicians.
