Job summary

Ridleys-Family-Markets-Inc is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the Pharmacist in daily pharmacy operations, provide patient counseling, assist with prescription transfers, and deliver customer service in compliance with federal and state laws and store policies.

The role includes filling prescriptions under supervision, communicating with customers and physicians, supporting audits, maintaining records for controlled substances, stocking inventory, and helping train other technicians

Qualifications

• Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
• Ability to readily adapt to changes in schedule specifications, and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand.
• Ability to cooperate with others and work as part of a team.
• Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs.

Responsibilities

• Takes all steps required to fill prescriptions in compliance with laws, regs and company policies, retrieves products, counts, pours or measures and affixes labels.
• Responds to telephone requests from customers, physicians, and vendors within the scope of the law and defers to the pharmacist when necessary.
• Communicates with peers, subordinates, managers, physicians and customers in a courteous and professional manner per customer service guidelines.
• Assists with monthly CII audits.
• Understands procedures for billing, filling, and dispensing products.
• Maintains state and federal record keeping for controlled substances.
• Maintains inventory levels, rotates stock and uses RX return process.
• Helps train other pharmacy technicians and abides by state regulations regarding technician training and licensure.
• Follows dress code and DAS standards and performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Participates in all company sponsored programs.
