Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy tech training preferred.
• Active CPhT certification preferred or required depending on state.
• 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy essential.
• Proficiency with pharmacy software and systems required.

Responsibilities

• Prescription preparation and dispensing
• Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing
• Label medications and manage inventory
• Operate pharmacy equipment
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service to patients and providers
• Answer patient inquiries regarding prescription status and services
• Handle prescription pick-up/drop-off and billing processing
• Maintain patient profiles and records
• Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Support pharmacists with training and workflow management
