Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Grade A) to assist the Pharmacist in providing medication and healthcare products to customers accurately and with the highest level of customer care. You will greet customers, collect payment, input patient information, and support prescription processing in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires compliance with state and federal drug laws, HIPAA, and safety standards, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to obtain state licensing or certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak English and understand pharmacy processes.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of using computer hardware and software relevant to pharmacy tasks.
• Comply with all policies, safety, HIPAA, and drug laws.

Responsibilities

• Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Accurately collect payment and provide correct change.
• Input patient information for processing prescriptions.
• Assist Pharmacist in processing and labeling prescriptions.
• Organize and stock pharmaceuticals as directed.
• Help customers locate over-the-counter items and know department products.
• Maintain security of the Pharmacy Department and a clean work environment.
• Interact with physicians and use reference materials to resolve issues.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements; duties may vary.
• Lift/move merchandise up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.
