Job summary

ShopRite of Sparta in New Jersey is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in processing prescriptions and delivering excellent customer care. You will input patient data, count and label prescriptions, stock the pharmacy, and assist customers with over-the-counter items in a fast-paced retail setting.

Ideal candidates meet the minimum qualifications, are able to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds (50 pounds occasionally), and maintain confidentiality and regulatory

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
• Must read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math and handle payments.
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts and lift up to 25 lbs (occasional 50 lbs).
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and handle chemicals per safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Input patient information for processing prescriptions.
• Assist Pharmacist in processing and labeling prescriptions.
• Organize and stock pharmaceuticals as directed.
• Maintain security and cleanliness of the Pharmacy Department.
• Comply with drug laws and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
