Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized technician training program or two years working experience as a health systems pharmacy technician.
• CA Pharmacy Technician license.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets copies of physicians orders and enters them into a computerized profile system.
• Fills patient medication cassettes and new medication orders with excellent accuracy.
• Prepares injectable medications such as large volume IVs, syringes, IVPBs, hyperalimentation solutions and chemotherapy doses.
• Uses pharmacy computer systems to produce a variety of reports, fill lists, labels and other related jobs
• Delivers medications to the patient care areas.
