Albertsons Companies is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in processing prescriptions, data entry, and medication preparation. You will interact with patients, handle transactions, and direct clinical questions to the supervising pharmacist.

The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA compliance, and efficient workflows within a fast-paced store pharmacy environment. Ideal candidates maintain strong attention to detail, organize restock and records, and adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ or 18+ depending on location requirements
• Because age requirements vary by state, confirm local rules.
• Current Board of Pharmacy registration/licensure required where applicable
• Ability to operate computers, registers, and pharmacy systems
• Successful completion of required pharmacy training programs and technician development requirements
• Working knowledge of pharmacy procedures, prescription processing, and HIPAA guidelines
• Proficiency in computer systems and basic math calculations
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow written and verbal instructions
• Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and enter data under pharmacist supervision
• Prepare medications and assist with prescription workflows
• Respond to patient questions and direct complex inquiries to the pharmacist
• Maintain organization: restock supplies and keep the workspace clean
• Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and HIPAA
• Provide courteous patient interactions and transaction processing
